Obstacle free construction

Residential buildings for which an interest-free loan is granted as part of the housing subsidy have had to be created in a way that can be adapted to be obstacle-free since January 2007.

  • The house entrance must be accessible barrier-free.
  • The corridors must have a minimum width of 120 cm.
  • The stairs must have a minimum width of 100 cm.
  • The door light must have a minimum width of 80 cm.
  • Any ramps may have a slope of max. 6%.
  • The bathrooms must be designed obstacle-free adaptable.
  • A distance of min. 120 cm must be maintained between two kitchen units.
