when moving abroad

Moving away

1) Every foreign national with a right of residence in Liechtenstein is obliged to personally deregister at the relevant residents' registration office at least eight days before moving abroad and to hand in their valid residence permit.

2) If the residence permit is not surrendered, any future application for renewed residence with or without gainful employment in Liechtenstein may be rejected.

3) The Residents' Registration Office will forward the residence permit together with the deregistration to the Migration and Passport Office
