kklick - Kulturvermittlung Ostschweiz is a joint project of the Principality of Liechtenstein and the cantons of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, St.Gallen and Thurgau.

kklick collects, structures and communicates cultural education offers from cultural institutions and Cultural activities, provides information on the subject and advocates teaching with cultural methods in schools.

The various good reasons for integrating cultural impulses into lessons and thus contributing to the development and strengthening of creativity, curiosity and other important skills in pupils are actually obvious. Unfortunately, however, they often fade into the background in the busy school day.

This is why kklick, in collaboration with the teacher training colleges of the cantons of St.Gallen and Thurgau, has prepared 12 arguments in favor of cultural education in a flyer. These clearly show the added value of cultural education.

The basis for the arguments was provided by the Bundesvereinigung Kulturelle Kinder- und Jugendbildung and the illustrations were created by Johanna Benz as part of a graphic recording session at the University of Teacher Education St.Gallen on the topic of "Cultural and Aesthetic Education".

Cultural providers (museums, theaters, cinemas or cultural mediators and artists) who would like to advertise school offers via kklick can contact the management at info@kklick.ch and briefly describe their own person/institution and the intended offer for schools in an email .

After checking the placement competence, the kklick management will send the form for entry as a cultural provider if the decision is positive. The profile is created from the information on the form and offers can then be entered independently.

In principle, providers must be based in or have a connection to one of the kklick cantons/countries. Providers from outside the kklick region are only accepted in exceptional cases. Login and entry of offers are free of charge.

Those responsible for culture in schools combine culture and education and are part of the network of schools, cultural institutions and cultural activities.

Teachers who register with kklick as cultural representatives are the contact person for cultural issues in their school. They raise awareness of cultural issues among their teaching staff and help to ensure that cultural education has a place in the curriculum.

Four times a year, kklick invites those responsible for culture and teachers interested in culture to network meetings - each time with a different focus at suitable cultural institutions. At the network meetings, various cultural institutions and cultural activities present their educational offerings and presentations provide information on the topic. Network meetings also provide an opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people.

Those responsible for culture receive the exclusive kklick culture pass for their commitment. It allows free or discounted admission to exhibitions and performances as well as other attractive offers from cultural institutions in the kklick region that are providers on www.kklick.ch.
