Academy for Trainers IBK

The Academy for Trainers is a joint initiative of the Vorarlberg state government, the Chamber of Labor and the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce. It is implemented jointly with the International Bodensee Konferenz (IBK). Information on the individual regions can be found on this website

The Academy for Trainers is not itself a continuing education institution but develops and recommends forward-looking continuing education topics for vocational trainers. In the core stands the promotion of the advanced training of Berufsbildner/inside of the dual system by official certifying. The academy appreciates the personal achievement and the commitment of the occupation trainers/inside.

The organizational platform of the Academy for Trainers is the Office of Vocational Education and Guidance.

As highly qualified trainers, you are guarantors for the necessary next generation of skilled workers in the Liechtenstein economy. We certify your competencies and your commitment within the framework of a novel three-stage system and thus enable you to flexibly continue your education.

Project cycle

As soon as the number of required education points for a level is reached, you send your continuing education passport to the Office for Vocational Education and Training and Career Guidance - regardless of a fixed deadline.

Only the date of the official certificate presentation is fixed. This takes place annually in a ceremonial setting in October.

Evolution of the project work

The time of the project beginning is incumbent on your decision. It will depend on the circumstances and requirements of your training company. The preparation of project work can - depending on the topic and the observation period - cover very different periods of time.

Delivery and presentation of project work

Every year, mid-March is the deadline for submitting your project work. For mid-May, you will be invited by the extended commission to present your project in person. Should the commission come to the conclusion that your project work is not yet worthy of an award, you will have until mid-August to make improvements and present your project once again.

Dei awarding of the predicates takes place together for all certification levels in October.

Score with education

Education points are the benchmark for qualification and an easy-to-follow system to evaluate your continuing education activities and initiatives. Education points can be earned in lectures, seminars, workshops and courses and entered into the continuing education passport by the participant(s) themselves. The type and duration of the event, the personal time required and any final examination or project work passed are taken into account.

Certification

IBK Instructor Level 1

For your first certificate "IBK Trainer Level 1", you will submit evidence of continuing education through your continuing education passport. To reach the first level, you need a total of 25 education points in three different qualification areas: "Personality" - 10 education points, "Dealing with young people" - 8 education points and the "Professional qualification" - 7 education points.

IBK Instructor Level 2

After reaching the first level, another 40 educational points are required. The education points from the first level are not credited. The areas from the first level "Personality" and "Dealing with young people" are supplemented by "Working methods" and a project work. The area "Professional qualification" is omitted.

The project work

The project work is created over 10 pages by you. This is to be written about a company training topic. After evaluation by our expert reviewers, you will present the project work to the commission at the Office for Vocational Education and Training and Career Guidance.

IBK Instructor Level 3

For level 3, 70 educational points are required. As in level 2, the educational points achieved in the first two levels are not counted. The area "personality" is supplemented by the topics "leadership and coach". The area "Dealing with young people" changes to the topic "Youth and society". The extensive area "Working methods" remains identical to level 2.

The project work

A project work is also prepared in level 3. The project work has at least 20 pages and deals with a situation from the training environment. The expert reviewers evaluate the project work. After a positive decision, you present the work in the Office for Vocational Education and Training and Career Guidance in front of the commission.
