Equal pay
Under the Gender Equality Act, women and men have the right to equal pay. Nevertheless, work of equal value is not always paid equally. In 2018, the gross monthly salary of women was 14.7% lower than that of men. Some of the pay gap can be explained by factors such as education, age or professional experience, while others cannot be explained and are therefore discriminatory.
Equal pay for women and men strengthens society, promotes the compatibility of family and work for fathers and mothers alike and makes companies attractive as employers.
