Eligible homes

Eligible are single-family houses and residential units in dense superstructure with a net living area of at least 60 m2 and at most 150 m2. The chargeable net living area results from the calculation of the gross floor area according to the Building Act. The calculation of the areas is based on the distances from wall to wall. Not included in the net living space are:

  • in all single-family houses and residential units in dense superstructure the area of stairs from the entrance to the exit;
  • for residential units in dense superstructure commonly used areas of staircases, elevators and corridors, development areas of e.g. collective garages

The adjacent areas and communal facilities include those rooms which, according to the Building Code, do not have to be added to the gross floor area. Not included in the ancillary area are:

  • attic floor areas, which are not considered expandable according to the Building Code;
  • for all single-family houses and residential units in dense development, the area of stairs from the approach to the exit;
  • for residential units in dense superstructure communally used areas of stairs, elevators and corridors, development areas of e.g. collective garages

adjacent areas with their share of general ancillary areas, together may not exceed 50% of the actual net living space. For apartment sizes up to 100 m2 net living area, a maximum ancillary area of 50 m2 is allowed.
