Internal Market Information System IMI

The Internal Market Information System (IMI) is a tool to support competent authorities in the European Economic Area (EEA) that are required to exchange information with competent authorities in other Member States under mutual assistance provisions in various internal market regulations. It was developed by the European Commission together with the Member States.

In Liechtenstein, the EEA Coordination Unit is the national IMI coordinator (NIMIC). It acts as an interface between the official bodies involved and is responsible for the smooth functioning of the IMI system.
