Project planning

Project planning, i.e. the planning of roads, is done by the Infrastructure Construction/Transport Engineering Department of the Office of Civil Engineering and Geoinformation only in a superordinate sense. This primarily involves supra-regional planning, traffic concepts and higher-level overall traffic contexts. These concepts result in the respective construction projects, which are put out to tender and awarded to external engineering firms. In the implementation of these projects, the Office of Civil Engineering and Geoinformation determins Planning and Execution Documents and Standards and defines the construction standard and subsequently submits the projects to the government for approval.
