Important change to company capitalization from 18.12.2024

From December 18, 2024, the activation of all companies will be simplified. From this date, it will be sufficient for one administrator (member of the administration) to register in the system with the right to sign individually - or collectively in pairs. The previously required activation by two persons is therefore no longer necessary.

This adjustment ensures significantly simplified handling and enables companies to be activated more quickly - particularly with regard to the use of eID by persons abroad.

First steps

Companies entered in the Commercial Register Division

To activate a company in the first step, the "administrators" must log in to the system according to the function and signing authority entered in the Commercial Register Division. The prerequisite is a deleted eID.

LogIn eVertretung

ATTENTION: When you log in for the first time, you may end up on a white page. This can happen if the data has not yet been fully loaded in the background. Please try logging in again at a later time.

If the natural persons entered in the Commercial Register Division do not have an individual signing right or a collective signing right for two persons in combination with a valid function (list below), or if there are other problems with activation, this must be reported to the Office of Justice.

IMPORTANT! Only companies that cannot activate themselves have the option of doing so manually.

Step 1: Log in to the eVertretung

Step 2 Check whether the company you are looking for can be seen under "My companies"

If the company does not appear in the list, please log in here: evertretung.aju@llv.li

If problems occur in the eVertrettung system, use the help button at the top right and, if necessary, a document attachment. You will then be contacted via the e-mail address you provided in the eRepresentation.

Questions in this context must be sent in writing to the Office of Justice(evertretung.aju@llv.li). Please note that there may be delays in processing due to the expected volume of applications.

Companies that are not entered in the commercial register (sole proprietorships, foreign companies, etc.)

Sole proprietorships with a permit from the Office of Economic Affairs are linked directly to the owner of the company. If the company does not appear under “business representations”, an application must be submitted to the tax administration.

The same applies to foreign companies - the administrators of the foreign company (function plus subscription right are decisive) must submit an application for activation.

Questions and answers

Why can't I see my company even though I am authorized to sign?

Companies are only displayed if you are entered in the Commercial Register Division with the corresponding function (member of the administration). Authorized signatories etc. are never administrators and are therefore never automatically linked to the company.

What happens after the company is activated in the eRepresentation?

As soon as the company is activated, all authorized administrators of companies managed by the Commercial Register Division are imported as soon as they log in to eVertrettung for the first time. The right to sign no longer plays a role once the company has been activated.

Who is appointed as an administrator in a company?

A list of the corresponding function designations can be found here

Can I delegate the complete management of my company to someone else?

Yes, a person with the role of "administrator" can be added to the company. This person has the same Legal Division as the administrator of a company. They can add or delete other people, assign or remove services. In principle, however, the administrator remains responsible for ensuring that the entries in the system are correct or for checking them regularly.

What do I have to do if an administrator is deleted from the Commercial Register Division?

If the addition was automatic ("administrator" role is visible in the eRepresentation), no further action is required. The person will be deleted from the Commercial Register Division at the same time as they are deleted from the eRepresentation.

If the activation was requested using a form and the role in the system is "Administrator", this person must be deleted by another administrator or manager. After activation, the company itself is responsible for maintaining the data/persons.

Why am I an administrator and not an administrator - even though I am entered in the Commercial Register Division with a corresponding function?

If manual values were still entered in the old data, the synchronization to the eRepresentation does not work correctly. Please report the issue using the help function in eVertrettung or directly at evertretung.aju@llv.li.
