Vocational training
The Training Supervision Department of the Office for Vocational Training and Career Counseling is the competent supervisory body for basic vocational training according to the Law on vocational education and training (Liechtenstein Law Gazette no. 103/2008; in German).
The main tasks of the Training Supervision Department are:
- providing advice to learners/apprentices, educators and vocational training supervisors;
- approving apprenticeship contracts and monitoring compliance with legal and contractual provisions;
- preparing education ordinances;
- granting education/training approvals;
- organising qualification procedures (exams);
- issuing certificates of proficiency and report/grade cards;
- ensuring funding for basic and further vocational training;
- collaborating with vocational schools, training centres and further training institutions;
- participating in regional and international boards/commissions;
- advising the government on educational matters;
