Area statistics are collected on behalf of Liechtenstein by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office and provide information on land use and land cover in Liechtenstein based on aerial photographs taken by the Federal Office of Topography. In addition to statistics, the areal statistics also provide geographic base data in hectare resolution for geographic information systems.
