Who is entitled?

Any person whose physical, psychological or sexual integrity has been directly affected by a crime and who needs help in coping with the situation is entitled to support in accordance with the Victim Support Act. Victim support can also be claimed if no criminal complaint has been made and/or the perpetrator is unknown or a fugitive.

It is not only the victim themselves who can claim help. People close to the victim can also be severely affected by a crime. For this reason, relatives of a victim are also granted certain rights.

Persons providing assistance are also entitled to victim support if their physical and psychological integrity has been directly affected by the assistance provided or attempted to be provided to victims.
