Information
The Migration and Passport Office can provide information about a person's surname, first name, address and date of birth, provided the request is not made for commercial reasons. The employer or other data may be disclosed if the data is essential for the Reception to fulfill its statutory duties in individual cases.
No information can be provided about the physical or mental condition of a person, about entries in the criminal or seizure register or about the commercial or professional secrecy of a person.
The requesting authority or person must submit a written request that justifies their interest in the information. The provision of information is subject to a fee and amounts to CHF 50 in individual cases.
