Migration and Passport Office

The new Liechtenstein passport can be applied for at the Migration and Passport Office (MPO) in Vaduz from Tuesday, February 3, 2026, and then taken away immediately.

The Migration and Passport Office (MPO), as part of the Ministry of the Interior, Economy and Sports, is the office in Liechtenstein with which every resident of the country and a large part of the workforce living abroad regularly has to deal. Whether for the issuance of passports and identity cards, permits for foreigners or cross-border commuters and their renewal, or even for asylum matters - the APA is responsible for all of this and strives to handle all of its customers' concerns quickly and unbureaucratically.
