Equipment and installations

The Office for Communications is responsible for managing rights of use for radio frequencies and technical monitoring of radio equipment. Details on the management and use of the frequency spectrum, frequency allocation, rights of use for radio frequencies, and technical monitoring of radio equipment are governed by the Ordinance on Means of Identification and Frequencies in Electronic Communications (IFV).

In its function as a supervisory body for radio licences, the Office for Communications monitors whether operators of radiocommunication equipment have a valid license. The Office also reviews compliance of operated radio equipment with legal requirements.

The Office for Communications is responsible market surveillance of radio equipment.

The Office of Economic Affairs is responsible for market surveillance of electromagnetic compatibility of electrical equipment. More information is available here.
