How is child and youth work supported?
State funding in the extracurricular sector is divided into institutional, personal and project funding. This funding applies to both open and association-based youth work.
Funding for institutions and associations
The Open Youth Work Foundation and recognized associations (e.g. scouts and guides) generally receive annual contributions.
Support for individuals
Funding is available for
- Training and further education for volunteers
- Training providers for the provision of internships and training places
- Youth leader leave (see information sheet on youth leader leave)
Project funding
Individual activities are also funded in the form of individual contributions in accordance with the Child and Youth Promotion Contribution Ordinance (KJFBV). These include
- Group animation
- Camps
- International youth exchanges and youth trips
- Prevention programs
- International events, meetings, conferences
- Further education events
