Child and Adolescent Dental Care in Liechtenstein

In a joint effort between parents, dentists and Liechtenstein, the "widespread disease" caries is to be reduced to the lowest possible level.

That's why every child residing in Liechtenstein should be examined annually from their 4th birthday by a dentist of your choice practicing in Liechtenstein and - if necessary and requested by you - treated. This is to ensure that any damage to the teeth can be repaired in good time and that sensible prophylactic measures can be discussed with the parents. The scope lasts until the 18th birthday.

Treatments within the scope of and under cost-sharing of child and youth dental care can be carried out by dentists in Liechtenstein who are authorized to provide child and youth dental care. For certain special treatments referrals to appropriate specialized practices are possible. For subsequent cost-sharing by Liechtenstein, the referring dentist must submit the referral and registration to the Office of Public Health before the service is used.
