Structural bridge maintenance

Engineering structures are particularly exposed points in the road network. As road users have a Legal Division to expect permanent passability, the engineering structures must be continuously monitored and maintained in such a way that road safety is guaranteed at all times. It is in the country's interest to detect damage at an early stage by monitoring the engineering structures and to extend the service life of the structures as much as possible through professional maintenance.

Operational maintenance, i.e. the repair of minor superficial damage, cleaning and the maintenance of protective and signaling equipment and drainage systems, is carried out by the works department.

Structural maintenance is carried out by suitable contractors under the direction of the works department on the basis of the findings made during monitoring.
