Collecting mushrooms, mushroom control, mushroom conservation areas

Have the mushrooms you collect inspected before eating them!

To avoid unpleasant surprises after eating mushrooms you have collected yourself, going to a mushroom inspector is essential, possibly even life-saving!

Collection restrictions and prohibitions

  • The collection of mushrooms of all kinds is allowed throughout the year only from the 11th to the last day of each month in the time between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm.
  • On these days, a total of no more than 1 kg of porcini, chanterelles and morels may be collected per person per day, as well as 2 kg of the other edible mushrooms. 
  • Collection in groups of more than three people, excluding families, is prohibited.
  • In nature reserves and in forest reserves there is an absolute ban on picking mushrooms!  Designated mushroom conservation areas
