Vocational baccalaureate (BMS) as an opportunity for young professionals

The vocational baccalaureate (accompanying apprenticeship) is an independent, demanding educational qualification at the end of vocational secondary school that opens up a range of higher educational paths and thus forms aalternative to the gymnasiale Maturität. Main characteristics of the vocational baccalaureate are:

  • Additional educational offer for learners who are willing and able to perform.
  • Combines the advantages of a practice-oriented vocational training with broad general education.
  • Builds together with the certificate of proficiency of a minimum of 3-year apprenticeship the completion of the vocational school and allows exam-free access to higher technical schools or universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife).
