Hunting maps

Whoever practices hunting must carry a valid Liechtenstein hunting card in his or her name and valid proof of marksmanship.

If you meet the necessary requirements, you can order hunting cards as follows:

Lessee for the duration of the current lease period;
as a guest individual days or for one to three years, but at most until the end of a lease period;
as a prospective hunter after passing the Liechtenstein or equivalent weapons handling and shooting test for one hunting year, but at most until passing the hunting aptitude test;

The hunting card is valid for the entire national territory.

Requirements

Prerequisites for the issuance of a hunting card are:

the completion of the 18th year of life;
the proof of hunting liability insurance for the period of validity of the hunting card;
the proof of hunting aptitude by passing the Liechtenstein or a foreign hunting aptitude test recognized as equivalent in Liechtenstein;
about the equivalence decides the Office for the Environment.

Excepted from the proof of hunting aptitude are prospective hunters.

Proof of accuracy

Proof of marksmanship can be provided at any hunting shooting range recognized by the Hunting and Fishing Administrators' Conference of Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein (JFK). Proof of marksmanship must be provided for each type of weapon used (bullet and/or shot).

Shooting program bullet

Match of 4 shots on standing roe deer or chamois target (DJV target with classification 0, 1, 3, 8, 9, 10 or St.Gallen target with hit field)
Distance min. 100m, as hits are points 8, 9, 10 or hit field, condition: 4 hits
The shooting program bullet must be fulfilled annually, provided that a weapon with rifled barrel is used for hunting.

Shooting program shot

Match of 4 shots on 3-piece tilting target (hare/fox) or on rolling hare; from left and right; recommended distance max. 30m
Front and/or middle flap are considered as hits on tilting target
Condition: 4 hits The shooting program shot is to be fulfilled annually, provided that a weapon with smooth barrel is used for hunting.
