The ongoing war in the Middle East continues to strain civilian populations. Liechtenstein is providing CHF 300,000 to international partners to help address the effects of displacement, damaged infrastructure and limited access to essential services.
In Lebanon, recent hostilities have led to widespread displacement, with more than 822,000 people forced to leave their homes, including many migrants with limited access to assistance. Liechtenstein contributes CHF 100,000 to IOM, which provides shelter, basic health care and water and hygiene services.
In Syria, regional developments further affect an already fragile humanitarian situation. Returning and repeatedly displaced families rely on basic services that remain under pressure. With CHF 100,000 to the ICRC, Liechtenstein supports essential water, health and protection services.
In the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the war and regional instability continue to disrupt access and supply chains, while needs for health care, education and basic services increase. Liechtenstein provides CHF 100,000 to UNRWA to help ensure continuity of key services for Palestinian refugees.
Through these contributions, Liechtenstein supports reliable humanitarian partners working under challenging conditions to maintan essential services in a conflict-affected region.
