Consumer prices rose by 0.6% in February
The national consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.6% in February 2026 compared to the previous month, reaching 100.6 points (December 2020 = 100). Compared to the same month of the previous year, inflation was +0.1%. This is according to figures from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
The increase of 0.6% compared to the previous month is due to various factors, including higher residential rents and higher prices for air travel. Prices in the hotel and para-hotel industry and for package tours abroad also rose. Prices for berries, on the other hand, have fallen, as have those for fruit and vegetable juices.
