National thresholds
The national thresholds for direct awards and the negotiated procedure are defined in the Articles 25 and 26 of the Public Procurement Ordinance ÖAWV. Above these contract values for direct awards or for negotiated procedures, the open or restricted procedure (Article 22 (5) ÖAWG) is generally applicable.

Exceptional provisions for the permissible use of the negotiated procedure are governed by Article 25 of the Public Procurement Ordinance.
