Management of an agricultural business

General

A legitimate interest exists if the land to be acquired is reserved for agricultural use and is used by the acquirer for the full-time and part-time management of his or her domestic farm for the production of agricultural products, and his or her land holdings do not exceed a ratio commensurate with the size of the farm.

Eligible persons

The acquirer must need the land to be acquired for the full-time or part-time management of his or her domestic agricultural business.

A part-time farmer may also acquire agricultural land, provided he/she actually carries out the agricultural activity.

A legal entity can also acquire agricultural land if it runs a domestic agricultural business.

Agricultural Business

Agricultural land may only be acquired for an existing agricultural business, not for a business to be established in the future.

Location of the land

The land to be acquired must be located in the agricultural zone.

Existing demand

Permission will not be granted if the farmer already has sufficient suitable land and does not use it extensively himself.
