Targeted preventive medical checkups enable early medical measures. Every child residing in Liechtenstein (except children residance permit "category L") receives written invitations for preventive medical checkups from birth.

The costs are covered by the health insurance companies in the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Focal points of the child screening

• current health status
• General physical development, body weight (BMI), and height
• motor development
• mental and neurologic development
• vaccinations

Merkblätter with simple tips, such as "Merkblatt Kinderfüsse" or the "Merkblatt Zahnpflege" on child and adolescent dental care are sent along with the preventive care invitation that is appropriate for their age or can also be downloaded.

Where do I get a yellow examination folder for my child?
The yellow examination folder is automatically sent by the Office of Public Health after the birth of the child.
If the birth notification is received late by the Office, you are also welcome to order the folder from us.
