Why victim assistance?

When someone has been the victim of a crime, various questions are raised. How does one learn to deal with the sometimes massive consequences of the physical or psychological injury and find back to normality? How can one protect oneself in case of existing danger? What are the legal options? What other agencies can help?

That's exactly what victim assistance is for. We support victims as well as relatives and caregivers. This is independent of whether a criminal complaint is made or how long ago the crime occurred. The consultations can also take place anonymously.

We are subject to the duty of confidentiality and our services are free of charge.

Suffering experienced can neither be undone nor forgotten, on the other hand, after a certain processing time, the perspective can change. The experiences can become an integrated, less painful part of their own lives.
