The employer...

  • shall make an assessment of hazards to the safety and health of employees in accordance with the activities carried out in the establishment, in particular in the selection of work equipment, chemical substances or preparations and in the design of workplaces and work processes.
  • are obliged to take all measures that are necessary according to experience, applicable according to the state of the art and appropriate to the given circumstances. The experience of employees should always be included in the planning; without the acceptance and understanding of the employees remains the effect of measures taken out.
  • may transfer work with special hazards only employees who are appropriately trained for it.

The employees...

  • must follow the instructions of the employer with regard to health and safety at work and take into account the generally accepted rules.
  • are obliged to use personal protective equipment and safety devices correctly and to actively support adopted measures.
  • shall continuously inform the employer about dangerous deficiencies and be involved in the planning of new measures.
