Specialized Unit for Public Procurement

The Specialised Unit for Public Procurement (FAW) is a Division of the Government Chancellery Staff Unit, which reports directly to the Collegial Government. Day-to-day supervision is exercised by the Prime Minister.

The area of responsibility includes the following key areas:

Central point of contact and advice for applicants, tenderers, contractors and clients
Development of strategies, concepts, measures and instruments for the optimal implementation and further development of public procurement
Creation and evaluation of Statistics on public procurement
Statistics on public procurement above and below the thresholds
Working on the definition of European Union directives and drafting proposals for their transposition into national laws and regulations
