GDL provision (self-employed or with seconded employees)

Overview GDL provision (self-employed or with posted workers)

The right to access the Liechtenstein market with a cross-border provision of services (GDL) is in principle subject to authorization or notification, depending on the sector.

The licensing or notification requirements and further obligations are regulated in industry-specific laws or in the Trade Act.

The Office of National Economy is responsible for the enforcement of the following laws in the GDL area:

  • Trade Licensing Act (GewG)
  • Work Placement Act (AVG)
  • Construction Professions Act (BWBG)
  • Act on the trade of goods in moving

For other industries, there are reporting requirements to other offices or agencies.
