Notification

Notification is equivalent to a notification of the bodies accredited in Liechtenstein to the ESA ( EFTA Surveillance Authority) responsible for the EEA states, which in turn ensures that the name, address and area of competence of the notified body are entered in an EEA-wide list. This list contains all notified bodies in the EEA and is considered as a recognition document. The bodies are authorized to determine conformity and to confirm to the manufacturer of a product or the owner of a quality assurance system that the CE mark is legally used.

Notified bodies can carry out testing and certification in the field of the New or Global Approach directives.

Notification reporting is published in the NANDO database by the Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry.

The requirements for notification by the Liechtenstein notification body (in this case, the government) are valid Liechtenstein accreditation, sufficient capitalization for two years, and adequate insurance coverage. Likewise, the applicant must declare his willingness to participate in interlaboratory comparisons, standardization projects, etc. within the EEA.
