The scope of activities includes the manufacture, dispensing and storage of therapeutic products in accordance with therapeutic products legislation.

Professional qualification/further training

The professional aptitude is possessed by those who have graduated from a higher technical school for druggists and have completed at least one year of practical work in a drugstore or pharmacy, or who can prove a druggist apprenticeship, training at a school for druggists that imparts sufficient specialist knowledge and at least two years of practical work.

Special features

The execution of medical, dental and veterinary prescriptions is prohibited for the druggist, provided that it is a prescription which, according to the legislation on therapeutic products, does not fall within the scope of authority of the druggist.

If a drugstore is newly established, relocated or remodeled, plans must be submitted to the Office of Public Health for approval. No professional activity may be started prior to approval.
