Features of the RMS road database
The application makes a number of functions or evaluations possible on the computer:
- Virtual driving through the individual streets (digital video film)
- Inquiry of the street kilometer at any positions
- Measurement of road width and length from the video
- Height measurement of objects
- Image montage of traffic signs and guidance devices
- Display of data in the Geographic Information System
At the moment, about 25 database topics on a wide variety of road infrastructures are available. The direct connection of the database to the digital video film makes it possible to record the data directly from the office workstation.
