Exceptional vehicles / transports
Individual Permits
Single permits are allowed for one or more identical trips or transports within a month on pre-determined days on a specific route.
Permanent permits
Permanent permits are permitted for any number of journeys (specified weights and dimensions) during a specified period and in a specified area or on a specified route with vehicles that remain the same (towing vehicle and trailer).
Responsibility
For Liechtenstein vehicle owners, the ASV or the canton in which the journey requiring a permit begins is responsible.
Permits for routes leading from Liechtenstein to Switzerland may be issued up to the following masses and weights:
- Length 30.00 m
- Total weight: 40 t
- Width 3.00 m
- Single axle load: 12 t
- Height: 4.00 m
- Load of the double axle: 20 t
The most important requirements for the implementation of exceptional transport
- Yellow hazard light
- Over 3.0 m width
- over 25.0 m total train length
- over 5.0 m front overhang
- over 6.0 m overhang rear
Own escort: additional escort vehicle with yellow danger light
- over 3.5 m width
- over 30.0 m total train length
- over 5.0 m front overhang
- over 8.0 m rear overhang
- over 3.3 m width, provided that at the same time the total train length exceeds 25.0 m.
Police escort
- over 3.8 m width
- over 35.0 m total train length
- over 4.8 m height
- over 3.6 m in width, provided that at the same time the total train length exceeds 30.0 m.
- According to the instruction of the bridge maintenance (high total weight)
The cost of the police escort will be charged separately and the invoice sent to you directly by the police.
