Training

The basis for the training of fire departments in Liechtenstein is the "Fire Brigade Training Concept" of 2009, which is impressive for its modular structure at all levels and includes the entire possible range of operations of the fire departments. Most of the training takes place at our own nationwide courses. Specialized training and instructor training takes place at courses in Switzerland. The regulations of the Swiss Fire Service Coordination (FKS) are applied.

About 22 part-time instructors work as instructors at courses and are also used during inspections. The instructors are recruited from experienced officers of municipal and company fire departments. In Liechtenstein, the instructors are appointed by the government.
