Self-help group Parkinson

Self-help group Parkinson for affected persons and relatives

In Switzerland, an estimated 15,000 men and women suffer from Parkinson's disease. Living with this disease presents a variety of difficulties. To promote quality of life in spite of and with Parkinson's, maintaining contact with other sufferers can be helpful.

In a self-help group, one learns how to deal with the disease appropriately by talking with other sufferers and family members. The experience of community is a positive experience that counteracts the threat of isolation. It is good to know that you are not alone with your illness.
