Ordinary procedure (voting)
Prerequisites for naturalization in the ordinary procedure (§ 6 LGBl. 2008 No. 306)
- Relinquishment of previous citizenship
- Permanent ordinary residence in Liechtenstein during the last ten years prior to application
- Proof of sufficient knowledge of the German language
- Proof of basic knowledge of the legal system and the state structure of Liechtenstein (civics examination)
Prerequisite for the granting of national citizenship in the ordinary procedure is the admission to the municipal citizenship. This is done by vote of the municipal citizens.
