Air pollution control at service stations
There are currently 33 gasoline filling stations in Liechtenstein. All facilities handling gasoline must be equipped with a properly installed gas displacement system. This captures the toxic gasoline vapors displaced when filling vehicles and returns them to the storage tanks. The Clean Air Ordinance (LRV) requires that vapor recovery systems be properly installed, operated and periodically checked for proper functioning. In addition, compliance with the LRV requirements is checked by means of spot checks
