The Single Digital Access Gateway ("SDS") facilitates online access to information, administrative procedures and assistance services that citizens and companies need to live or do business in another EEA country. It guides citizens and businesses to information about national and EEA regulations, rights and procedures, as well as to the websites where they can complete these procedures online, and users seeking assistance are directed to problem-solving services.

In practice, a search function in the portal  "Your Europe" provides access to:

• Information - citizens can easily find reliable, qualitative information on the EEA and national rules that apply to them when they want to exercise their internal market rights;
• Procedures - citizens learn exactly how to carry out administrative procedures and what steps they need to take;
• Support services - if users are still unsure about which rules apply or have problems with a procedure, they are directed to the most appropriate EEA or national support service to solve their problem;

Your Europe serves as a central portal to all other sources of information and assistance at European and national level. The information is presented clearly and simply, without jargon and cross-cutting. Since Your Europe also collects feedback from its users, the content of the portal can be constantly improved.
