Application procedure in Liechtenstein

The Liechtenstein National Administration (LLV) provides companies domiciled in Liechtenstein with the option of applying for the allocation of a Swiss UID free of charge. The application is made exclusively by electronic means. The prerequisite is a valid e-mail address and information about the company.

The application for the allocation of a UID by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (FSO) is made at your request. Upon receipt of your application, the Liechtenstein Office of Statistics (AS) will transmit the following data to the BFS:

  • Name of the enterprise
  • Address of the enterprise
  • Legal form of the company
  • Sector of activity of the enterprise (NOGA code)
  • Number of employees of the enterprise
  • PEID
  • Commercial register number (if registered)
  • Status active / inactive or date of incorporation / deletion in FL company index

The FSO makes the allocation of the UID and subsequently provides it to the applicant in writing. Furthermore, the FSO reports the allocated UID to the AS in Liechtenstein. The AS sends updates of the above data to the FSO at regular intervals. This data is exclusively available to the Swiss authorities.

By submitting an application, you agree to this procedure and to the exchange of data between the Liechtenstein and Swiss authorities.

For further information on the UID as well as its issuance, please contact the Office of Statistics (AS) (T: +423 236 69 37 / lur@llv.li).
