On Friday, January 30, 2026, no express passports can be issued due to technical changes. This means that no passports with accelerated processing will be available on this day. This is due to necessary system adjustments in connection with the introduction of the new passport. These adjustments have been carefully prepared and extensively tested in a test environment. The final transfer to the productive technical environment and the tests required there make the temporary restriction necessary.
All other services, including the application for regular passports, are available as usual at the Migration and Passport Office (APA) counters during opening hours.
With the introduction of the new passport on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, express issuance will be completely discontinued. All Liechtenstein travel documents can now be taken directly after submitting the application.
