The school supervisory authority is responsible for the following tasks:

• Managing and coordinating the assigned school administrations
• Supervising teachers (in particular, evaluating instruction through classroom observations, performance reviews, professional development, staffing and scheduling, and matters related to compensation and the budget in collaboration with the Administration and Legal Affairs Division)
• Participating in hiring, orientation, and terminations (in collaboration with the Administration and Legal Affairs Division)
• Collaborating with school administrations regarding the supervision of teaching staff, as well as the hiring, orientation, and termination of teachers
• Participating in the design and implementation of pedagogical and/or organizational adjustments to align with educational policy objectives, as well as in evaluations
• Handling problematic cases that cannot be resolved at the school level
• Overseeing instruction at private schools
• Participating in general quality assurance and the development of schools and the school system
