At the end of 2024, a total of 43,441 people were employed in Liechtenstein, which corresponds to a slight increase of 0.6% compared to the previous year. At 57%, more than half of employees commute to their workplace in Liechtenstein from abroad. 61% of commuters are resident in Switzerland, 35% in Austria and 4% in another country. A good half of employees are employed in the municipalities of Schaan or Vaduz.
At the end of 2024, a total of 46,364 full-time and part-time jobs were recorded in Liechtenstein, which corresponds to an increase of 0.7% compared to the 46,040 jobs at the end of 2023. At the same time, 5,582 companies were counted in Liechtenstein, 1.3% more than in the previous year.
