Vaduz (ots) -

On November 29, 2023, Government Councillor Graziella Marok-Wachter met with the German Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport, Volker Wissing, as well as with State Secretary Angelika Schlunck from the German Ministry of Justice for bilateral working talks in Berlin. The government councillor also used the visit for an exchange with the German Federal Minister of Construction, Klara Geywitz.

The meeting with Volker Wissing focused on current topics such as the status of regulations at EU level in relation to e-fuels and the expansion plans for e-charging stations on German freeways. Another focus was on public transport, where the effects of the introduction of the 49-euro ticket as a result of the 9-euro ticket and measures to increase timetable stability were discussed.

The working meeting with State Secretary Angelika Schlunck provided a good opportunity to exchange views on current topics and developments in various areas of law, such as parentage law and the planned EU regulations to combat child abuse.

During the exchange with Federal Construction Minister Klara Geywitz, the minister reported on measures to speed up construction procedures, among other things. The minister, who traveled to Liechtenstein in July 2022 for a working meeting with Graziella Marok-Wachter, also explained key elements relating to affordable housing and sustainable construction.

The working visit to Berlin concluded with participation in the Digital Justice Summit, which counted Bavarian Minister of Justice Georg Eisenreich and State Secretary Angelika Schlunck among its high-ranking speakers. This event provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience on the structural and political issues surrounding the digitalization of the justice system.
