The Office for Communications provides statistical data on the postal market and the postal universal services in the year 2024.
The statistics contain consolidated data from all registered postal service providers on
- the number of postal service providers, employees, and subcontractors;
- the postal network infrastructure, in particular access and delivery points;
- the use of access and delivery points for letters, parcels, and other postal items;
- the volume of postal items, broken down into letters and parcels sent domestically, sent abroad, and received from abroad
- (domestic: from Liechtenstein to Liechtenstein; abroad divided into EEA and non-EEA)
The second part of the statistics provides information on the postal universal service, which is the responsibility of Liechtensteinische Post AG, regarding
- the universal service access points
- the universal service minimum offering
The Office for Communications is publishing a first annual data set. The information provided by postal service providers has been checked for plausibility and accuracy. Nevertheless, it cannot be ruled out that the market statistics data may still contain errors, which may be identified in further data collection rounds.
The statistical documents can be found on the Office's website under the heading Postal and parcel delivery services - Market statistics.
