Deputy Prime Minister Sabine Monauni visits Vienna

On 18 to 19 March 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sabine Monauni visited Vienna to further cultivate bilateral relations with Austria and deepen political exchange.

During the visit, Foreign Minister Sabine Monauni met the Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, Beate Meinl-Reisinger. A European policy dialog also took place with Federal Minister Claudia Bauer. The focus was on current issues relating to cooperation within the EEA and the competitiveness and security of the European single market in a changing global environment.

Ambassador Simon Biedermann hosted a dinner at the Liechtenstein Palace in honor of Deputy Prime Minister Sabine Monauni. This provided an opportunity to further deepen the close relations between Liechtenstein and Austria as well as the cultural exchange. The guests included representatives from politics, administration and diplomacy.

"Direct exchange with our Austrian partners is of great importance to Liechtenstein. It creates trust and helps us to tackle challenges together in a European context", said Deputy Prime Minister Sabine Monauni.
