Excavation work on public roads

Submission

The application does not require a signature, but an additional confirmation

If you log in with the eID.li or lilog when calling up the form, you can submit the application directly without further confirmation.

If you do not make use of the registration option, you will receive an email with a confirmation request after submitting the application to the address you provided. Important: Your application will not be processed until we have received your confirmation.

Basic remarks:
In accordance with current legislation, applications must be signed by the person submitting the application. With a view to the greatest possible customer orientation and efficient and simple business processing, the office is dispensing with the signature in this case and instead offering the option of electronic submission using a form and without a signature. The signature can be requested subsequently if necessary.

Necessary documents and information

An integral part of the application is a signalization plan. This must show all signals and markings.

Costs

Based on Art. 2 of the Law of June 1, 1922 concerning the provisional collection of court and administrative costs and fees, LGBl. 1922 No. 22, as well as Art. 3 of the Ordinance of September 12, 1995 on the collection of administrative costs and fees by the government and official bodies, LGBl. 1995 No. 198, a fee of CHF 200.00 is charged.

If the order is announced, the corresponding costs will be passed on to the applicant.
A fee of CHF 400 per m2 of surface area is charged by the Civil Engineering and Geoinformation Office for excavation work on rural roads (excluding public utility lines) (Art. 67 BauV). On municipal roads, the fee is set by the respective municipality.

Date / deadline

The application must be submitted to the Civil Engineering and Geoinformation Office at least 14 days before the start of the signalization. Local traffic orders which, in accordance with Art. 97 SSV, are to be issued by the Civil Engineering and Geoinformation Office and published with information on legal remedies, may only be installed once the order is enforceable.
