More than two thirds of students from Liechtenstein choose Switzerland as their country of study
In the 2024/25 academic year, 1,211 students from Liechtenstein attended a university of applied sciences or a university (excluding continuing education). The proportion of women was 52.1%. Of the 1,211 students recorded, 857 (70.8%) attended a university in Switzerland.
In 2024, 107 students from Liechtenstein obtained a degree from a university of applied sciences and 164 a degree from a university.
The tertiary education institutions in Liechtenstein (excluding continuing education) were attended by 811 students in the 2024/25 academic year. The proportion of women here was 40.8%. In 2024, 183 students in Liechtenstein obtained a university degree.
In the 2025/26 academic year, 257 people were employed at universities in Liechtenstein. The total number of full-time equivalents (FTEs) amounted to 162.8. Compared to the previous year, this is an increase in FTEs of 4.7%.
