At the end of 2025, a total of 43,275 people were employed in Liechtenstein, representing a slight decrease of 0.4% compared to the previous year. At 57%, more than half of the workforce commutes from abroad to their jobs in Liechtenstein. 62% of commuters reside in Switzerland, 34% in Austria, and 4% in another country. Slightly more than half of the workforce is employed in the municipalities of Schaan or Vaduz.
At the end of 2025, a total of 46,242 full- and part-time jobs were recorded in Liechtenstein, representing a 0.3% decrease compared to the 46,364 jobs at the end of 2024. At the same time, there were 5,686 companies in Liechtenstein, 1.9% more than in the previous year.
