On February 14, 2024, the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office FSVO informed about the start of the fight against rotting lice on October 1, 2024. The aim is to reduce the incidence of foot rot in Switzerland and Liechtenstein to less than 1 percent of all sheep farms within 5 years.
